This song was my mothers favourite song when I was growing up, and she used to sing it with me in the car. When I found it again I was so excited I just had to tell her, but it didnt seem to have as much sentimental value for her as it did for me. Typical!
Regardless this is still a pretty awesome song. It was released in 1997 and has two names. Bitch, or “Nothing In Between” if you want the censored version. Since Asshole is already on the blog I didnt think this one would make much difference!
It was nominated for a Grammy, reached number 1 in the USA and 2 in Australia. Not bad, but this was a one hit wonder of sorts. It’s been parodied a number of times, the best of which I think is Chris Franklin’s song Bloke.
